Product Name: Barium nitrate
Molecular formula: Ba(NO3)2
Molecular weight: 261.35
Property: Colorless crystal or white crystalline powder.?Slightly hygroscopic.?Decomposes above the melting point.?It is easily soluble in water, very slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, and almost insoluble in concentrated acid.?Hydrochloric acid and nitric acid can reduce its solubility in water.?The density is 3.24g/cm?3?.?The melting point is about 590°C.?The refractive index is 1.572.?Strong oxidizing.?Moderately toxic, LD50 (rat, oral) 355mg/kg.
Uses: Qualitative of sulfuric acid and chromic acid.?Barato is a denser explosive composed of barium nitrate, TNT and binder.?The glitter powder obtained by mixing aluminum powder and barium nitrate is explosive.?Barium nitrate and thermite can be mixed to obtain TH3 thermite, which is used in grenades (thermite grenade).?Barium nitrate is also used in the production of barium oxide, the vacuum tube industry and the manufacture of green fireworks.
Packing: 25kg/piece in woven bag.
